Yes, it's a fan name, since they didn't reveal his real name.
We're already familiar with Aleu, Kodi, Dingo and Saba. (the female pup that looked like Jenna with blue eyes.)
I also gave the pup with the red face a name too. Her name's Kiona. I pretty sure I drew a picture of her and Saba, but I can't find a picture of them.
